Sustainability Development Specialist

Hi, my name is Alissa Thompson. In my role, I research and apply for grants to secure funding that supports Hope Restorations’ mission. I also help to develop sustainability in office systems, manage our online presence, and manage the organization’s donor/volunteer base.

Working in the nonprofit sector has deepened my appreciation for the power of community-driven change. It has shown me how strategic planning, resource management, and dedicated teamwork can transform lives and create lasting impact.

Outside of Hope Restorations, I am a full-time student pursuing a Master of Arts in History and a Master of Library Science in Archives and Cultural Heritage Informatics at East Carolina University. I also work as a graduate assistant at ECU’s University History & Records Department.
