Homes for Rent

In 2015, Hope Restorations’ founder, Chris Jenkins, lost his son to suicide after a long battle with addiction to amphetamines. Chris sought a way to bring meaning out of loss, so he purchased and restored a dilapidated home, inviting a few men in early recovery to work alongside him. What began as an act of healing for a grieving father became the foundation of a model that would ultimately transform both lives and neighborhoods.

Hope Restorations began with a simple but powerful vision: to rehabilitate deteriorating properties in underserved neighborhoods and transform them into safe, affordable housing for low-income families. These early efforts not only restored homes, but also created opportunities—using construction as a pathway for workforce development and community renewal.
As the housing landscape has changed, so has our approach.

Rising costs and limited access to distressed properties have made large-scale rehabilitation projects less feasible. In response, we have thoughtfully shifted our model—while remaining firmly rooted in our mission of restoring lives through recovery, purpose, and opportunity.

Today, Hope Restorations manages and maintains more than 40 rental units, continuing to provide quality, affordable housing while creating hands-on workforce development opportunities through the daily operations that sustain our organization. Participants in our program are actively involved in preparing homes for new tenants, maintaining properties, and supporting operations—gaining real-world skills, accountability, and pride in their work.

When you rent with Hope Restorations, you become part of that mission. Your home is cared for by individuals who are rebuilding their lives, developing skills, and working toward a future of stability and independence. While our methods have evolved, our purpose has not.
Every property represents both a home—and a second chance.
